The Department of Biology at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is seeking applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow. The successful candidate will be offered a two year position. The candidate will be involved in the project investigating hyper-arid Soil-Plant-Microbial interactions loop using metabarcoding/metagenomics approaches. Goal of the project is to assess impact of ongoing climate and environmental changes on the tripartite interactions in arid environment.
Key responsibilities Conduct field work (soil and root collection) in arid environment Process samples for biochemical and molecular lab work Bioinformatic and statistical analyses of dataset and timely manuscripts publication Assist in supervising/mentoring undergraduate and graduate students
