The candidate integrates data, analyzes, and prepares manuscripts deriving from interdisciplinary projects on soil health in Ohio cropping systems. In addition, the candidate performs laboratory analysis, and participates in field and greenhouse experiments, as relevant to soil health and soil food webs. Experiments could include handling and processing of samples for soil, plant and microbial analyses (including nematodes), maintenance and identification of cultures/isolated populations, and environmental nucleic acid analysis.
The candidate will maintain thorough records of research, including annotated electronic resources, including application of statistical analysis and bioinformatic pipelines; analyzes data, prepares reports and manuscripts for publication. The candidate will be expected to contribute to other group activities, such as, but not limited to, training of laboratory personnel, general lab discussions and extension/outreach.
Degree Requirements:
A PhD in Plant Pathology, Agronomy/Crop Science, Soil Sciences, Ecology, Statistics, Entomology, or related field.
Experience Required:
Experience with statistical analysis of complex datasets; excellent organizational skills; experience in manuscript preparation and publication.
