The Faculty of Natural Sciences invites applications for the position of a Full Professor (W3)
of Molecular Nutritional Science at the Institute of Nutritional Sciences to be filled as soon as possible. We are seeking an excellently qualified scientist (m/f/d) with internationally recognized research achievements and success in acquiring third-party funds in a current, natural-scientific field of nutritional science.
The candidate is expected to have a clearly identifiable, innovative scientific profile, for example on nutritionally relevant functions of micronutrients or plant or microbial secondary metabolites, as well as a willingness to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration in research and teaching within the University, especially within the Institutes of Nutritional Sciences and Clinical Nutrition. In teaching, the professor will represent the fundamentals of nutritional science as well as subject-specific teaching content in German and English in the Bachelor’s and Master’s nutrition degree programs of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and in other related degree programs.
The position offers attractive conditions for first-time full professor appointees. Prerequisites for applicants are a completed university degree, preferably in nutritional science or ecotrophology, and a habilitation or an equivalent research and teaching record which may have been established during a Junior or Assistant Professorship. The advertised position is tenured. If appointed as full professor for the first time, the University of Hohenheim reserves its right to probationary employment.
