Post-Doctoral Position (3 years) in Maize Epigenetics (sncRNA-dependent male sterility during heat stress) The Dresselhaus lab seeks a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher (m/f/d) to work in the field of maize reproductive biology and epigenetics under heat stress conditions. The position (100% TV-L E13 salary) is available from October 1, 2022.

Within the BMBF-funded research project EPMS, the post-doctoral researcher shall generate and study environment-sensitive sncRNA-dependent RNAi and CRISPR/Cas mutants, analyze target genes and loci during meiosis and pollen development with a focus on mRNA stability and chromatin dynamics. Your profile: • A PhD in plant molecular and/or cellular biology or related field; • At least one first-author original research publication; • You take initiative and like to take over responsibilities; • You work independently, but search for co-operations and are a team player; • You have excellent communication skills and speak English fluently.
