The CAU is Schleswig-Holstein’s only fully-fledged university with a major focus on research. Research assistant, The Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, Institute of Food Economics and Consumption Studies, Department of Food Economics:

The Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, Institute of Food Economics and Consumption Studies, Department of Food Economics, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, is seeking to re-cruit a research assistant as soon as possible, for an initial period of 3 years. The regular weekly working time is half of a full-time job (currently 19.35 hours). The salary is based on pay group 13 TV-L, provided that the requirements of the collective agreement are met. The teaching obligation is 2 teaching hours (LVS).

Skills/Qualifications

A very good master’s or graduate degree in food economics, agricultural economics, or econom-ics is required. Good econometric skills as well as good knowledge of development economics and strong interest in research, with focus on developing countries are also required. Fluency in German and very good English language skills are required. In addition, the candidate should en-joy intensive engagement with scientific issues and be interested in a good working atmosphere, coordination, organization and teamwork skills.
