The School of Biological Sciences is seeking to recruit a lecturer in Soil Science. Applicants should have strong numeracy skills to maintain and enhance the schools’ reputation in this area and may contribute to the delivery of statistical training.
The successful candidates will have a PhD and will have developed a significant contribution to a body of knowledge, as evidenced by research outputs or other outcomes appropriate to the discipline. The candidates must also demonstrate an ability to teach effectively, to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate project students and postgraduate research students and should provide evidence of successful collaborations with other research teams/institutions.
The post-holders will join an enthusiastic and engaged group of scientists with a track record of high-quality research, team teaching, and a growing cohort of undergraduate and postgraduate students. The post holders will be encouraged to build on existing collaborations with colleagues working in Aberdeen, Scotland and beyond. International collaboration through effective networking is also important. Citizenship and a contribution to equity of all activities in the workload model is expected.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 7, £43,414– £51,805 per annum with placement according to qualifications and experience.
