Context and tasks to be developed:

– Design and conduction of in vivo and in vitro tests related to animal nutrition,

– Development of analytical techniques aimed at the analysis of compounds biological such as: liquid or gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, microbiological analysis, chemical analysis, molecular and cellular biology, etc.

– Control and analysis techniques for toxic gas emissions (NH3) will be implemented or with a greenhouse effect (CH4/N2O) related to animal production

– Field work in relation to intensive animal husbandry and extensive production

– Participation in the preparation of reports and the writing of publications related to own work or the research group

This recruitment will be carried out with funding from the “Investigo Programme” with resolution file code 2022 INV-1 00010, for the enrolment of young job seekers in the implementation of research and innovation initiatives, in the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union – NextGeneration UE.

It constitutes an action included in Investment 1, “Youth Employment”, included in Component 23 “New public policies for a dynamic, resilient and inclusive labour market” of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, approved by the Agreement of the Council of Ministers of 27 April 2021, and by the Council Implementing Decision on the approval of the evaluation of the Spanish Recovery and Resilience Plan (Council Implementing Decision-CID) of 13 July 2021.

Skills/Qualifications

– People who have worked in any type of research position in the same entity, company or group of companies within the immediately preceding 6 months may not be hired.

– Undergraduate Degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science or similar

– PhD in Animal Science or similar

These requirements must be met at the beginning of the contract.

Desirable but not required/ Nice to have

– Experience in isotopic markers (15N, 14C, etc)

– Experience in sample preparation and analysis for HPLC and GCMS

– Driving License (B)

– Knowledge of written and spoken English.

Specific Requirements

– Be 16 years of age or older and under 30 years of age.
