The Climatology and Environmental Meteorology working group (Institute of Geoecology, Technische UniversitƤt Braunschweig) is looking for a motivated person interested to conduct research on urban green infrastructure. In the DFG-funded research project GREENVELOPES we aim for better process understanding, modelling and evaluation of water and carbon exchange between green building envelopes (green roofs, green walls) and the atmosphere. GREENVELOPES is a bilateral project with Meteo France being the French partner institution.

Our GREENVELOPES part will focus on quantifying gas exchange processes for water and carbon fluxes between the two building facets, i.e. roof and walls. The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties: field measurements incl. eddy covariance measurements, data analysis, and produce work of publishable quality for high-quality peer reviewed journals.

Applicants should have a first degree in atmospheric/climate sciences, geoecology or from a related discipline, preferably with experience in eddy covariance measurements. The candidate will join a young and motivated team in Environmental Meteorology at Technische UniversitƤt Braunschweig. The position is available from 1st December 2022. The salary is according to German TV-L E13 75%.
