Description: *MS/PhD position*: A fully funded graduate research assistantship position (funding provided by teaching assistance) is available in the lab of Dr. Matt Hale in the Biology Department at Texas Christian University starting in August 2023. The project will be centered on understanding patterns of genomic diversity and population genetics in northern pike (Esox lucius) from the Canadian Arctic.

The applicant should have previous lab experience including, but not limited to, DNA and RNA extraction, PCR amplification, and DNA sequencing. Ideally, the candidate will also have experience with computational analysis and bioinformatics, although training in these areas will be provided.

Qualifications: An undergraduate degree in Biology or a related disciple with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to applicants who have previous research experience in genetics, conservation genetics, molecular ecology, or genomics.

Salary ~$16500 with possibility of summer support
