The postholder will also help to organise workshops bringing together an interdisciplinary group of scientists to brainstorm design features for genetic targets of future control methods, to be tested in the project.
We are looking for outstanding candidates with well-developed expertise in evolutionary genomics, bioinformatics, fungal biology and/or plant infection studies and RNAi, and an established interest in and experience of one or both parts of the research project. Appointees will need a proven track record in the independent management of a discrete area of a research project and of working as part of a larger team to address shared goals.
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will be responsible for research activities such as analysing data, performing experiments, developing hypotheses for testing, help supervising other group members, communicating with academics and non-academics, and the preparation and publication of manuscripts.
