The following position is to be filled on April 1, 2023 in the Department of Organic Agricultural Sciences, Department of Environmental Chemistry (Prof. Dr. Bernard Ludwig): Research assistant (m/f/d), 35758 (Kassel) EG 13 TV-H, temporary, part-time (currently 26 hours per week) Part-time with 65.00 percent of the regular working hours of a full-time employee.
The position is initially limited until March 31, 2026 as part of the DFG-funded third-party funded project “Experimental investigations for the optimization of infrared spectroscopic characterization and quantification of organic soil matter on scales of increasing complexity: importance of band shifts, spectral variable selection and subtraction approaches” in accordance with § 2 Para. 2 WissZeitVG . There is an opportunity for a doctorate.

Requirements:
Scientific degree completed with good to very good success University degree (master or diploma) in agricultural sciences, Soil science, geoecology, chemistry or similar subjects. The required degree must be completed by the hiring date at the latest present Experience with soil chemical or soil biological analyzes in laboratory.
Good knowledge of common computer software. Good understanding of statistical data analysis and basic. Knowledge of the application programs. Very good knowledge of spoken and written English. Willingness to work independently and to publish of the results in international journals
