An experience on electron microscopy will be a plus. Intensive experience with model plants, such as Arabidopsis thaliana and Nicotiana benthamiana is a key requirement. Good biochemical experimental skills will be preferred. Previous experiences in plant pathology or plant microbe interactions are not necessary but helpful for this position.

Position 2: This position is for effector biology in maize-Puccinia interaction. It requires previous research experiences in plant pathology or molecular biology in plant-microbe interaction. Previous research works in Maize model system will be a big plus. Previous research in -omics approaches such as genomics, transcriptomics, or proteomics will also be preferred.

The earliest starting date will be September 2023, but good candidates graduating in Fall 2023 will also be considered to start the position in January 2024. The salary will be negotiated based on qualifications and previous experiences.
