Join our growing team! We’re seeking applicants to fill up to 2 positions investigating the ecological implications of waterbird interactions with fisheries in a number of settings. Specifically, these candidates will evaluate the feeding ecologies of various avaifauna through assessments of their parasite communities, physiological markers, and gut contents.

Host bird taxa largely include wading birds (herons & egrets), and seabirds (gulls, tubenose, alcids, etc.) although other groups could be included as our sampling breadth widens.  Although this work is largely lab-based, there will be opportunities for field work, collaboration at partner facilities, and travel to scientific conferences. These projects are a good fit for students intersted in pursuing careers in wildlife ecology, disease ecology, and One Health subjects.
