Southeastern Louisiana University is seeking applications for two graduate assistants (MS) for an environmental DNA monitoring project. Students will be enrolled in the MS program at Southeastern Louisiana University and will be part of a large biomonitoring team.
The graduate assistants will focus on gathering and analyzing temporal and spatial environmental DNA data on fish assemblages in south Louisiana and thesis projects will be developed to meet the goals of the broader monitoring project.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a BS degree in aquatic ecology, natural resources, biology, zoology, fisheries, or a related related field. Candidates must have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to applicants with previous molecular/genetic lab experience.
