Graduate Student Position Available in Pet Food Processing and Companion Animal Nutrition: A M.Sc. graduate student position is available under the supervision of Dr. Julia Pezzali in the Department of Animal Science at Iowa State University, program to start as early as August 2023.

The proposed project will aim to characterize (thermal and physicochemical properties, and metabolome profile) some specific varieties of sorghum bran and to determine the effects of white and red sorghum bran on extrusion parameters, nutrient digestion and metabolism in dogs.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in animal science or related discipline with a 3.0 GPA minimum is required. Seeking for a highly motivated student with ability to work independently and collectively as part of a group, and with strong interest in companion animal nutrition, pet food processing and research. A driver’s license is required.
