This unique opportunity is to work on grassland conservation at the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve in Pawhuska Oklahoma. The concept of Pyric Herbivory was formalized at this site and the current project is focused on modifying the return interval and season of fire along with the species, intensity and duration of herbivores to achieve conservation objectives.
This project is supported by The Nature Conservancy/Tallgrass Prairie Preserve and will likely interact with other landowners in the region. *Starting date is negotiable.
Qualifications: Analyze community and landscape level data on biodiversity. Ability to collect field data and plants and others aspects of biodiversity. Ability to develop publications fo high impact journals.
