The following professorship is to be filled in the Faculty of building-arts-materials/CivilEngineering at our campus in Koblenz at the earliest possible date Professorship for Hydrology and WaterResources Managementlimited to 6 years (Salary grade W 2) Part-time employment is generally possible.
The position holder represents the subject area in teaching and research. We are looking for aqualified personality with comprehensive competence and occupational experience in thefollowing areas: Hydrology and water resources management as well as the application ofrelevant hydrological and water resources management methods and models; experience withthe collection and analysis of data is desirable. In addition, knowledge about hydraulicengineering design is an advantage.
The future holder of this position is expected to advance research at the faculty. Willingness tocooperate with companies, research institutions and other universities as well as collaborationwith relevant expert committees, the chamber of engineers and water expert associations isexpected. Existing experience with research and development projects in the field of hydrologyand water resources management is desirable.
In addition to pedagogical-didactic aptitude, the prerequisites are a university degree as well as aqualified doctorate degree in the subject areas of the teaching field. A high quality of teaching and supporting the students in their learning processes is an importantconcern for us.
This includes the readiness for blended learning, online teaching and teachingevaluation, the implementation of teaching in German and English and a weekly on-sitepresence, which ensures qualified advice and regular contact with students as well asparticipation in the self-governing bodies of the university.
