The Department of Economics, esp. Economics of Innovation (520i) is looking for a research assistant (50%) to start as soon as possible. The salary is EG 13 TV-L with a weekly working time of 19.75 hours. The position is initially limited to 3 years, the place of employment is Stuttgart-Hohenheim. The possibility of a doctorate is given.
At the Department of Innovation Economics, we address the multifaceted issues of economic development triggered by innovations, with a particular focus on the transformation towards sustainability. Our research is at the current edge of economics and open up new possibilities through interdisciplinarity and diversity of methods.
Our scientific work is embedded in European networks and we offer the opportunity to gain relevant further qualifications in international doctoral programs. The desired participation in externally funded projects may lead to an increase of the position. The prerequisite for application is a relevant university degree (Master) in economics.
Furthermore, a strong interest in modern economic research in the fields of innovation, evolution and complexity economics is required. Possible research fields are bioeconomics, artificial intelligence and robotics. Initial knowledge of agent-based modeling and network analysis is ideal. Independent and structured work in a team and the willingness to familiarize oneself with the diverse tasks of the chair are required. German language skills on C1 level are desired.
