At the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Department of Biology, of the Rheinische-Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn a W2 professorship for Molecular Plant Sciences to be filled as of April 1, 2024.
We are looking for candidates with proven expertise in the field of molecular plant physiology with research focus on the analysis of e.g. hormone action, secondary metabolism, epige-netics, gene regulation, protein homeostasis or evolutionary adaptation. Successful acquisition of external funding, a very strong publication record, and demonstrated, relevant teaching ex-perience are expected.
Active participation in shaping and further establishing the research priorities in the Biology Division is expected. Linkages of the research profile to the Transdisciplinary Research Areas (TRA) of the University of Bonn Life and Health and/or Sustainable Futures are an advantage.
Relevant teaching experience with appropriate evaluations is expected. Teaching participation in the compulsory and elective modules in the German-language B.Sc. Biology (Plant Physio-logy) and in the English-language M.Sc. program Plant Sciences is required.
