What you’ll be doing here
- Develop market- and industry-relevant, future-oriented solutions for processes or product concepts, based on a broad mechanistic understanding
- Take operational responsibility for research projects and staff (when appropriate), often working with Startups and SMEs
- Plan and conduct plausibility and hypothesis tests in the laboratory and pilot plant, thus driving the development of the team’s research projects
- Assist with lectures and supervise student work
What you’ll bring with you
- Master’s degree, preferably PhD, in food science, materials science, food process engineering, or a related discipline. In the absence of a doctorate, you are willing and able to enrol.
- Well-rounded general and methodical knowledge, as well as specialist knowledge in the field of food and/or food-related material sciences and food process engineering
- Possess above-average creative, abstract thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently, but also expeditiously in a team environment, with a strong sense of responsibility towards achieving quality results
- High motivation to assist and support students in lectures or projects
- Resilient, flexible and adaptable when faced with obstacles
