The University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli is an Italian research university founded in late 1991. Its main seat is in Caserta, but its academic departments are also located in a series of historic and contemporary buildings in Naples, Aversa, Capua and Santa Maria Capua Vetere.

Four PhD Funded Positions; Doctorate of National Interest in Design for Made in Italy: Identity, Innovation and Sustainability at The University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli in Italy.

The Phd Program is in line with the objectives outlined by the European scenario (UN-SDG’s, NGEU, Green Deal) and the PNR while also responding to the current demand for advanced training in the scientific sectors of Made in Italy.

The production sectors typical of Made in Italy products represent the main aspects of the material and immaterial culture of the Italian system, combining creativity, manufacturing know-how and technological innovations. In this context, design and creativity play the role of drivers of innovation, transferring research and knowledge into manufactured goods, fully expressing the paradigm of open innovation.

The renewed attitude to cooperation and interaction between supply and demand, developed in a framework of reciprocity and circularity, will make it easier to listen to innovation needs, promoting a substantial advancement of processes, products and services in relation to international strategic objectives
